Welcome to The *Asterisk.

Why "The Asterisk"?

In case you haven't noticed there's an asterisk in the title of my book and we at Unfu*k Nation thought it would be kinda cool to continue that fine tradition. Oh yeah, and while I'm at it, an asterisk is a symbol used to mark or signify something. In this case a "life marker". What I'm out to do here is have this blog be a place where you can meet with other members of The Nation, interact with each other and where I can post some thoughts and ideas and expand on my work a little more than typical social media channels allow.

What is the cost?
Nothing

Can I share it with people?
Go ahead.

Can I ask you questions in this blog?
Yes, as long as they are on topic.

Anything else I need to know?
Sure, make sure I have your email address (top of the page) and that you follow all of The Asterisk rules.

What are The Asterisk rules?
1. Don't be an asshole.
2. Follow rule 1 rigorously.

How will I know if I'm being an asshole?
I'll tell you.

Anything else?

No, that's it, welcome, settle in and prepare to expand your brain a little.

  • My son died in a tragic accident in our house & it caught fire. Major damage requires I be out of it for at least 6 months. There are a lot of major life decisions I need to make. My husband is pushing me in several directions because that is what he wants. At 70 I would like to be strong enough to make decisions based on what is right for me.

  • Your book came into my life at the perfect time. Well, the perfect time to pass it along to my wife. She was getting ready to start her journey towards becoming a realtor. The classes she had to take, and the studying she needed to do were much crazier than we expected. Throughout her studies, she’d say aloud, “I got this!” Whenever I walked by, I’d grit my teeth and growl, “RELENTLESS!” She’d start to worry about whether or not she’d pass the license exam (it’s a HARD exam!) and I’d shake my head, smile, and say, “baby, you’re wired to win!” She fucking aced it! I won’t give you credit for that, it was all her, but you gave her the tools she needed at exactly the right time. I’m raising a scotch in your honor, sir.

  • I was RELENTLESS today. Did every menial task at work that I normally push aside, ate 100% clean, went to the gym, did the dishes while I sang…thank you Gary, for making me realize what a crybaby, bystander I’ve been these last few years!😚😚😚
